Abstract

The Canadian Council of Forest Ministers is committed to developing and maintaining a comprehensive national forestry database. This compendium of statistics from the database is the first of an annual series. Data are presented in tabular and graphic form. The intention of this publication is to develop time series for each of the themes presented in its pages. The program is working to improve the consistency and comparability of data in the national database, and to expand its coverage to include non-timber values.
